You find a flock of “birds” squawking in the field near the edge of the forest. You sneak up and find a resting bird only a few feet in front of you. You toss a net over the bird, and it goes crazy. The rest of the flock takes to the sky. Their speed is amazing, probably because each bird has 4 wings. You check out the field where they were and realize it’s full of nests. There are thousands of eggs in the surrounding nests. You gather one or two from several nests and return to your ship. You cook them up and they’re the best eggs you’ve ever had.
You place the bird inside of a pen you’ve built.
The next day, you’re able to catch a few more. Soon, you’ve got a pen full of birds. You discover that they like the seeds from the forest, so you gather gallons of them to feed the birds. To your amazement, they no longer seem to try to escape. You’re able to leave the pen open and they return to sit on their nests and produce eggs.
